Christian Bechard, CTS-D

Principal

Christian  begins his work with clients by discussing how they wish their facilities to function. Drawing on this, he designs solutions that best meet their needs. He sees the project through to completion, coordinating with other members of the design team, suggesting qualified suppliers to perform the work, and overseeing completion.

Christian was educated in Electronic Technology at Centennial College in Toronto, and has obtained his certification in audiovisual design with the International Communications Industry Association (ICIA). He regulary takes training courses to upgrade his skills, and frequently attends trade shows to keep his knowledge current.

Prior to joining Novita, Christian developed a Lunch and Learn seminar for interior designers on the topic of how AV Multimedia impacts their designs. This seminar accredited with ARIDO (The Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario) and was presented to many high-profile firms in the industry.

Christian has worked in the entertainment industry for over 30 years, as a musician, an entertainment agent, an AV Multimedia Systems Designer, an AV Multimedia Systems installer and crew chief, and as a sound, staging, lighting, and video technician for many live performances.

He enjoys playing soccer and cycling. Christian volunteered for many years as a coach for several sports, including gymnastics and soccer. He still plays with his band, practicing every week and playing the occasional live gig.
